Why We Have Fewer Photos From Earlier Decades of Our Work. Cary Masonry and our other Companies have been a second-generation family masonry business for over 70 years, with more than 40 years of hands-on experience under my current ownership. During most of that time, photographing every project simply wasn’t part of how the masonry trade operated.
For decades, our work came almost entirely from reputation, referrals, and repeat clients. Homeowners hired us because they knew our family name, had seen our work in their neighborhoods, or were referred by builders, architects, and satisfied customers. There was no need to document projects for marketing or online visibility.
Before the last 10–15 years:
As online searches, Google listings, and visual proof became important, we adapted. Today, we photograph projects regularly to help homeowners better understand our process, quality, and results.
