Brick and Masonry Wash
We can clean your brick whether it be mold, mildew, moss debris, or mortar stains. We use Low-Pressure washing with 40-degree tips and special techniques because it is a safe way to clean all your masonry, brick, stone, and concrete when done properly.
Mold, mildew, fungus, moss, and other organisms usually grow in shady moist areas and will need to be treated more frequently to prevent the organisms from helping to deteriorate the mortar and brick by keeping the moisture on and inside the brick.
Depending on the type of cleaning, Cary Masonry uses a custom blend of soap, chemicals, and water when soft washing to ensure that moss, mildew, molds, fungus, debris, and mortar stains are removed without any damage.
Our main goal when we have to repoint bricks and repair them is to have the masonry free of mold, mildew, etc. so the mortar can properly adhere to the new work and to restore the original beauty of the project.
Most chemicals we use around a home will be gentle on plants and we will cover and soak the plants, grass, trees, and area before we start if needed.
If you have a new brick installation or an old one that was not neatly built with the mortar, we will use a diluted acid scrub to try to remove as much as the mortar stains as possible. Plants, grass, and trees are very sensitive to a diluted acid cleaning and the area and site need to be thoroughly inspected before the project starts to determine any issues that may arise.
